A leading provider of innovative life sciences solutions is seeking a Senior Field Application Scientist to support customers in the Benelux region. This role involves providing scientific consultation, technical training, and application support for cutting-edge laboratory instrumentation and assays. The successful candidate will work closely with sales and marketing teams to drive product adoption and customer success. If you have a strong background in immunoassays, protein biochemistry, and molecular biology, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact in the field of life sciences research.

Key responsibilities:

  • Train and support new and existing customers on laboratory instrumentation, assay workflows, and data analysis.
  • Assist customers in assay troubleshooting and optimizing experimental protocols.
  • Provide guidance on assay development for applications in oncology, neuroscience, metabolic disorders, immunogenicity, and other fields.
  • Collaborate with account managers to drive instrument and consumable sales.
  • Present technical seminars, webinars, and scientific workshops to customers and internal teams.
  • Represent the company at scientific conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitor technologies.
  • Document customer interactions and technical support activities in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).

Qualifications & experience:

  • Ph.D. in Life Sciences or related field (Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience will be considered).
  • Minimum of three years experience in a field applications or scientific support role.
  • Hands-on experience in molecular biology, clinical, or discovery laboratories.
  • Strong background in protein biochemistry and immunoassays.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong understanding of immunoassay principles and their applications.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in laboratory software and data analysis tools is a plus.

Additional Information

  • The role requires up to 30-50% travel within the designated territory, including on-site customer visits.
  • Work may include time spent in laboratory environments handling various chemicals and materials.
