Invenia Group has partnered with a fast-growing company looking to hire a Procurement Manager for its team. Reporting to the Director of Global Procurement you will proactively & effectively manage procurement for multiple Indirect related projects across multiple European sites.

Role responsibilities: 

If successful, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage stakeholders to ensure engagement of key people to develop requirements, objectives, and sourcing strategies, category management
  • Lead the creation of sourcing strategy, define the idea supply set, and build then implement to ensure focus on best value, quality, delivery, efficiencies, cashflow and rationalization of supplier numbers as well as leading on supplier development management
  • Actively managing the supplier base for assigned spending categories
  • Lead/participate in cross-functional teams, departments, and operational sites to ensure that all stakeholders have access to an effective and value-added service from the Procurement Team
  • When necessary you will deputize for the Procurement Managers whilst supporting the Category Buyers & Buyers in their day-to-day roles. You will support compliance by coordinating checks on new and existing suppliers

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, food sector or other highly compliant industry and strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team across multiple operation sites. You should also possess the following skills: 

  • Contract negotiation skills
  • Key supplier relationship experience
  • Experience in managing multiple procurement projects/negotiations concurrently
  • ERP or MRP experience
  • PC literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint
  • MCIPS or studying toward a qualification
  • Business NVQ level 5
