Invenia Group is working with a very well-established chemical specialist that supports food, pharmaceuticals, and other industrial applications to hire a Sales Operations Specialist. This is a hybrid role with days a week in their Richmond office.

Role responsibilities: 

The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for providing global customer service and commercial sales support to customer accounts in the EMEA region, to help meet business objectives and maximize customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include regular and direct customer contact, cross-functional coordination within the company, and timely communications to deliver great customer service. You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Coordinates information between the sales team, credit management, production, shipping, customers, etc. This includes troubleshooting conflicts between customer needs, supply schedules, and credit.
  • Responsible for monitoring inventory levels and usage
  • Coordinates the sale of inventory with customers. Resolves problems that arise on all inbound or outbound warehouse movements. Periodically reviews consignment procedures and makes recommendations to improve service or operations.
  • Help resolve customer complaints
  • Confirms orders and estimates as frequently as necessary to ensure order schedule accuracy.
  • Receives enters and controls the processing of customer orders. Ensures orders are entered with correct prices, volumes, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintains communication with the credit department to keep abreast of customer creditworthiness or credit problems.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure correct invoicing procedures and final document distribution for all orders and order types
  • Assists sales representatives and customers by completing appropriate internal control documents and submitting them for approval. This includes but is not limited to credit requests, trial, and sample requests, sales agreements, etc.
  • Coordinates with Sales and the technical team to provide accurate and timely detail of customer specification requirements.

What we are looking for: 

We are looking for someone who has experience with the responsibilities listed i.e. order entry and management, customer services and dealing with customer complaints/ issues, inventory management, working cross-functionally, etc.

Experience with SAP (SAP Hana is desirable) and Pivot Tables is essential. Knowledge of Salesforce is highly desirable.
