Role responsibilities:

This role will be an essential part of the R&D team, focused on product research and development, this includes improving current and future devices. Here, you will be responsible for carrying out R&D projects to find new approaches to improving and advancing their products. Responsibilities will also include:

  • Design, conduct, and report pre-clinical studies and possibly human feasibility studies
  • Analyse physiologic data and report key results
  • Develop intellectual property
  • Performs R&D support on both current and new product R&D projects
  • Keep up-to-date documents of work
  • Help troubleshoot issues with prototypes, products, and equipment
  • Coordinate prototype builds and testing with internal or external teams

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with an advanced degree (ideally a Ph.D.) in biomedical engineering (or similar) and 5+ years of experience as a Research Scientist or R&D Engineer in the medical device, technology, or product development environment. You should have the ability to generate, evaluate and implement new product and process concepts, and ideally previous experience working in an operating room setting.

Preferred experience includes:

  • Education or research experience in neurostimulation (cardiovascular, integrative, neurophysiology preferred)
  • R&D experience in the field of either
    • Implantable neurostimulation devices
    • Endovascular or cardiac therapy medical device industry
