Service Delivery Manager – Life Sciences Site Operations (Sweden, Onsite)
Looking for a new career opportunity?
We are working with a global life sciences services organisation supporting a major pharmaceutical client on a large, complex R&D and manufacturing site in Sweden.
This is a key leadership hire, responsible for driving operational performance, developing team capability, and improving service delivery across a highly technical, multi-disciplinary environment.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of a large on-site engineering and lab support function (c.30+ engineers, technicians, and team leads), delivering maintenance, optimisation, and support across laboratory and pilot manufacturing equipment.
This is not a “steady-state” role, the focus is on building structure, improving processes, and driving performance across a team that is still evolving.
You’ll play a critical role in shaping how the operation runs day-to-day, working closely with both internal leadership and a demanding pharmaceutical client environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and developing a team of managers and technical team leads across multiple functions
- Driving process improvement, structure, and ways of working across the site
- Ensuring delivery of service levels, KPIs, and operational targets
- Supporting managers in implementing daily management routines and work order discipline
- Acting as a key interface with stakeholders across scientific, operational, and leadership teams
- Understanding customer needs and translating them into practical, sustainable service delivery
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, and performance of equipment
- Supporting a diverse set of lab environments including automation, pilot manufacturing, and core lab equipment
(Core responsibilities aligned with leading service delivery, team leadership, and KPI-driven operations in a regulated environment )
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading managers and developing leadership capability
- Strong background in engineering services, lab operations, or field service environments
- Experience improving processes, efficiency, and operational performance (Lean/continuous improvement mindset)
- Exposure to GMP or regulated environments (essential)
- Understanding of laboratory environments and scientific workflows
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance customer expectations vs operational reality
- Comfortable driving change in a complex, multi-layered organisation
Why This Role?
- Opportunity to shape and improve a large, complex operation
- High level of autonomy to implement new ways of working
- Exposure to a cutting-edge life sciences environment with significant investment in technology
- Diverse, international team with strong collaboration across functions
- A role designed for someone who wants to grow into a long-term leadership position
