Invenia Group has partnered with a a clinical-stage biotechnology company committed to developing therapies that address high unmet need in autoimmune disease. The Physician Engagement & Launch Leader will play a key part in this mission by owning the Company’s relationship with a set of its most important physician partners. S/he will be responsible for building a deep connection with these physicians and their institutions. In a pre-approval context, s/he will foster research collaborations and share information about the Company’s development programs and following a potential approval of their lead molecule, s/he will also be responsible for ensuring the success of launch by delivering key commercial outcomes.

The position accordingly serves as an excellent jumping-off point for a variety of other senior executive roles at the company. A successful candidate will combine scientific acumen and the ability to engage medical experts as a peer with business savvy, perseverance, and outcome orientation.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with a designated group of elite physicians who can be key Company collaborators
  • Leverage these relationships to develop connections across the physicians’ institutions and with other providers and staff
  • Ensure physicians are informed about the Company’s clinical development work and understand the potential for their product as a therapy in indications of interest
  • Identify areas for scientific collaboration and work with other team members to evaluate and execute these partnerships
  • Following approval, develop and execute strategies to encourage prescription of the product for appropriate patients, owning outcomes from key accounts
  • Attend conferences and other meetings to represent the Company and engage with physicians
  • Remain up-to-date on relevant science and drug development landscape

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Undergraduate or advanced science degree preferred
  • Experience engaging with physicians preferred
  • Experience in sales/business development at a health tech company preferred
  • Resourceful, nimble, and entrepreneurial with a strong results orientation
  • Able to travel >50% of the time
