Senior Bioinformatician – Oncology & Haematology

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and collaborative Senior Bioinformatician to join an innovative healthcare and genomics environment focused on advancing precision medicine and clinical diagnostics.
This role will play a key part in the development and optimization of genomic analysis workflows supporting oncology and haematology applications. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including bioinformaticians, software developers, data scientists, clinical experts, and molecular biology specialists.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, improve, and maintain bioinformatics pipelines and genomic analysis workflows
- Analyze and interpret NGS data with a strong focus on oncology and haematology applications
- Collaborate with scientific, clinical, and technical teams to support the development of advanced diagnostic solutions
- Participate in the validation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of bioinformatics tools and processes
- Support the integration of new technologies, databases, and analytical approaches into existing workflows
- Contribute to variant annotation, interpretation strategies, and reporting processes
- Troubleshoot complex bioinformatics and data analysis challenges
- Participate in internal scientific discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaborative innovation initiatives
- Stay informed on advances in genomics, precision medicine, oncology, and bioinformatics technologies
Required Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong experience in bioinformatics and NGS data analysis
- Solid understanding of genomic analysis workflows and variant interpretation methodologies
- Strong knowledge of oncology and haematology genomics is essential
- Experience with scripting/programming languages such as Python, R, Bash, or similar
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and workflow management tools
- Ability to work effectively within collaborative and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English; French is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in clinical genomics, molecular diagnostics, or precision medicine
- Knowledge of somatic and germline variant interpretation
- Familiarity with cloud-based or scalable bioinformatics environments
- Interest in AI applications, genomics innovation, and translational medicine
