Invenia Group is partnering with a leading biotechnology company that is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge innovative tools and services that accelerate scientific discovery. We are looking for an Associate Director of NGS to join their team in San Jose.
Role responsibilities:
If successful, you will be responsible for managing research activities, monitoring project progress, and ensuring the success of all proposed initiatives. You will be working closely with other teams including marketing to develop plans for product line growth, as well as assist with the development and launch of new products. You will also provide leadership development in terms of strategy, execution, and decision-making.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone with a Ph.D. in molecular biology or a relevant field, and a minimum of 12 years of related experience. This must include 4+ years of experience managing scientists. We are looking for someone skilled in genomics, molecular biology, NGS assay design, and NGS product development.
Extensive experience in RNA- and DNA-Seq, at both bulk and single-cell levels, is also required for this role, and knowledge of U.S. intellectual property laws and/or processes would be highly beneficial. Proven success in developing commercially viable products is also essential.
