Invenia Group is partnered with a CMO who supports international (bio)pharmaceutical companies by offering state of the art GMP manufacturing services. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to proactively identify, develop, and realise partnerships that align with their growth strategy. You will shape the Company’s market presence by building new relationships, creating long-term collaborations, and leading complex commercial negotiations. With your strong technical understanding of (bio)pharmaceutical processes, you effectively translate customer needs into feasible, competitive solutions and secure long-term contracts that drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic market development by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities in the (bio)pharmaceutical sector
  • Develop and execute market and segment growth strategies in line with the Company’s objectives
  • Act as the primary point of contact for new opportunities, guiding them from initial lead through to signed contract
  • Lead complex commercial contract negotiations with (international) customers, ensuring alignment with the Company’s technical capabilities and business objectives
  • Establish and manage key commercial documents, including CDAs, P&Ls, Price Quotations, LoAs, Confirmation Letters for Manufacturing slots, and MSAs
  • Translate customer needs into technically and commercially viable proposals in close collaboration with Operations, Quality, and Program Management
  • Coordinate bid and proposal processes, ensuring timely and competitive submissions
  • Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with clients to maximize business potential
  • Conduct regular client visits on business locations, strengthening relationships and deepening understanding of customer needs
  • Represents the company at (inter)national conferences and congresses, actively promoting the company’s expertise and capabilities
  • Share market insights competitor intelligence and industry trends internally to influence the Company’s strategic decision-making.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Degree in Life Sciences
  • Good knowledge of (bio)pharmaceutical production processes
  • Proven track record in creating and closing new business opportunities
  • Strong customer orientation, acting as the strategic link between clients and internal teams
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities and perform effectively under time pressure
  • Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to design customer solutions aligned to the Company’s capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and negotiating complex commercial contracts (e.g., MSAs)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential; additional languages are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel internationally and visit clients on-site
