Invenia is partnered with a rapidly growing life science tools company developing innovative solutions for molecular analysis and imaging applications. With an established global user base and strong scientific credibility, the business is now expanding its commercial footprint within BioPharma.

As part of this growth, we are looking to hire a Business Development Manager to drive adoption across key pharmaceutical accounts on the West Coast (ideally California).

The Role

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on growing and developing strategic BioPharma accounts, particularly within discovery, translational research, and pathology teams.

You will be responsible for:

  • Driving new business and expanding existing accounts within pharma and biotech
  • Building relationships with scientists across discovery, assay development, and translational research
  • Supporting early evaluations and guiding customers through adoption
  • Working closely with internal technical teams to ensure successful implementation
  • Contributing to territory strategy and broader commercial expansion

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and driving long-term account growth rather than purely transactional sales.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You may be a strong fit if you have:

  • Experience selling life science reagents, consumables, or imaging-based solutions
  • A track record of working with pharmaceutical or large biotech accounts
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset suited to a growing organisation

Location

This role is focused on the West Coast, with a strong preference for candidates based in California. Travel will be required for customer meetings and conferences.
