Do you have 3 years of business development experience within the generic pharmaceutical industry? Are you seeking a new career challenge?

Invenia has partnered with a leading, global generics company seeking an experienced Business Development professional to lead the North American business development team group on strategy, business development, alliance management, new product planning/selection, portfolio expansion, and M&A activities related to the Rx and OTC businesses.

Role responsibilities:

If successful, you will be responsible for sourcing deals prolifically by extensive networking within the industry and advanced decision-making based on risk/rewards identified. You will prepare presentations and communicate findings to Senior Leadership, whilst having the opportunity to attend industry conferences/expos, investor, and healthcare advisor conferences. You will perform required analyses including, product/market analysis, competitive analysis, and financial modeling, and advance decision making based on risk/rewards identified. You will also structure and negotiate term sheets and definitive agreements with an eye toward detail as well as build and manage collaborative relationships across the organization and any post-transaction integration activities as required.

What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of  3 years of business development experience in the generic pharmaceutical industry. You should have a Bachelor’s Degree or an MBA is preferred, as well as strong experience leading commercial assessments and detailed financial valuation modeling of business development transactions including licensing. You should be a highly analytical and strategic thinker, with abilities to demonstrate a sense of appropriateness and excellent business acumen

Superior communication skills and an impressive ability to communicate with senior management and business development professionals across the industry is necessary, as well as excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and follow-through on project activities.
