Invenia Group is partnered with a manufacturer of scientific reagents, instruments and services that are being used to accelerate scientific discovery. Research applications include next-generation sequencing, gene discovery and editing, proteomics etc.

We are looking to hire a Director of Product Management to join their team in San Jose, CA. This is an office-based role. Candidates will be joining a stable company that values their employees and developing their skills and careers.

The role

  • This role will be responsible for managing a team of 10 Product Managers who are responsible for the global market growth of established and new product lines.
  • For this role, we require someone with a deep understanding of the life science research market.
  • You will be working closely with R&D and the Market Strategy Managers to build and manage a product road map for expanding into key markets.
  • The team is responsible for managing the product life cycle and they work with various teams in the company including R&D on individual projects to prepare, plan, and implement new product launches. They develop tactical marketing plans for North America that include actionable marketing campaigns/programs to drive high-value sales leads and revenue growth across diverse product areas.
  • The team works closely with the Marketing Communications team to develop and deliver positioning documents, product training, sales tools, and other application-specific content to enable the sales team and drive product launches.
  • The Director, Product Management role is office-based. A limited amount of travel will be required as needed.

What we are looking for

  • A degree BA or higher in a science-related subject
  • Must have extensive product marketing experience for life science or related markets
  • We are looking for someone who has managed teams of 5+ marketing people


Salary is $220,000 – $230,000 per year depending on experience plus a 26% bonus and full benefits.
