Director of Research Development

Invenia Group is partnered with a growing cell and gene therapy company with a focus on viral vectors, who have recently emerged from stealth mode. They are seeking an experienced and driven professional to take on the role of Director of Research & Development.

Role responsibilities:

This individual will work with the founder in the R&D lab, running the development laboratory and working as a bridge to the commercial side of the business regarding knowledge transfer, generating documentation, etc.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with:

• Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology, or related field
• Strong communication skills (customer, cross-functional, team)
• Ability to present to customers, conferences, investors, BoD
• Expertise in gene therapy and cell therapy vectors (AAV, Lenti, AV, etc.)
• Experience in experimental design
• GLP (documentation, controls)
• Lab organizational skills (sourcing, flow layout, safety, resource management)
• Industrial/commercial experience (no pure academics, minimum requirement of a few years working in industry)
