They are seeking a dynamic Territory Manager to lead the expansion of a suite of cutting-edge services across the Middle East and African markets within the European, Middle Eastern, African, and Indian (EMEAI) territories.

Role Overview

As the Territory Manager, you’ll be instrumental in driving new business opportunities and nurturing existing relationships. Your primary focus will be on promoting a range of advanced genomic services that are poised to redefine the industry. You’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, training, and technical support, enhancing our customers’ experience. Building and maintaining a network of key industry contacts across the region will be pivotal to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies for creating and expanding business opportunities
  • Drive the adoption of innovative genomic services across the Middle East and Africa
  • Provide outstanding customer service, technical support, and training
  • Manage customer databases and compile comprehensive reports
  • Cultivate market intelligence and a network of industry contacts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape strategies and initiatives
  • Forge strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the food diagnostics sector
  • Contribute insights for product development and enhancement
  • Set and manage budgets and forecasts for genomic services
  • Champion revenue growth through increased uptake of genomic testing
  • Collaborate with internal teams for seamless customer order processing
  • Spend approximately 40% of your time in field visits
  • This role offers location independence, with a preference for in-territory presence

Qualifications & Expertise

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. (B.Sc, MSc, or Ph.D.) in fields like animal safety, data science, genetics, or animal science
  • Strong understanding of the agricultural business landscape
  • Proficiency in Middle Eastern and African agricultural markets is advantageous
  • Previous customer-facing experience in technical sales is preferred
  • Familiarity with sales ordering and recording processes
  • Valid clean driving license and willingness to travel internationally, especially in the Middle East and Africa
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical knowledge to customers and industry events
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, Skype, Access)
  • Familiarity with commercially available technology, genomic testing, and genetic improvement systems
