Invenia Group is partnered with a leading global pharmaceutical company, which is looking for an experienced EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) professional to join the team as a Senior Director covering the EMENA region. This position requires oversight and continual improvement of EHS, including management of resources, development of EHS culture, and ensuring the ongoing compliance of EHS requirements.

Role responsibilities:

If successful, you will be responsible for the company’s CSR strategy including leading, benchmarking, embedding, driving, tracking, and developing a CSR policy and goals. You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Provision of strategic management and leadership of the CSR and EHS to facilitate continuous improvements whilst ensuring legal and corporate EHS and security compliance
  • Work as part of a larger cross-functional team and external partners to achieve CSR goals and encourage internal and external initiatives
  • Creation of an EHS/CSR business report
  • Identification of CSR and EHS goals and leading the implementation of these initiatives across the business and the EMENA region
  • Provision of strategic management through analysis and acknowledgment of trends and root cause analyses, simultaneously decreasing the company’s liability and cost
  • Leading and accounting for the EHS team to work efficiently across the UK sites
  • Oversight of overall compliance across EMENA including ensuring that the policies, procedures, and EHS management is compliant
  • Education of the organisation on Safety best practices, prevention and working around hazardous substances, and development and implementation of training programs

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with significant leadership/managerial experience within EHS in the pharmaceutical/health environment, as well as global experience – especially EU regional. You should be educated to Bachelor’s degree level, with a NEBOSH Diploma and IOSH – Chartered membership. 

Previous line management responsibilities and the flexibility to travel (25%) is also a must for this role.
