About the Role

Are you a highly motivated scientist passionate about cutting-edge genomics technologies and delivering exceptional customer experiences?

We are seeking an FAS NGS to join a dynamic Applications Support team supporting an innovative, next-generation molecular analysis platform. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of life sciences technology, enabling researchers to generate transformative biological insights across human health, infectious disease, agriculture, and beyond.

As a Field Applications Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer success, supporting scientists throughout their technology adoption journey — from experimental design to data analysis — while partnering closely with commercial teams to position our solutions as the preferred choice in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the sales team to provide expert technical support to customers and prospects within your territory (and occasionally beyond).
  • Deliver compelling pre-sales presentations, seminars, workshops, and technical consultations.
  • Guide customers through all stages of technology implementation, including experimental design, sample preparation strategies, software usage, and downstream data analysis.
  • Serve as a trusted scientific advisor for complex technical inquiries related to genomics workflows.
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with key accounts to ensure long-term success.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, exhibitions, and scientific congresses.
  • Accurately document customer interactions and technical activities within the CRM system.
  • Monitor market trends, emerging applications, and competitor activity, sharing insights internally.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical Support, Customer Solutions, and international teams.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Background

  • PhD in Life Sciences (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related field) or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Strong laboratory background with hands-on expertise in molecular biology techniques.

Technical Expertise

  • Experience with experimental design and sample preparation methodologies (e.g., DNA isolation, fragmentation).
  • Confidence interpreting and discussing data analysis workflows.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools; experience with R or Python (NumPy, Pandas) is a plus.

Commercial & Professional Skills

  • Prior experience in a customer-facing or technical support role is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly.
  • Strong troubleshooting, writing, and documentation abilities.
  • Comfortable presenting, training, and educating scientific audiences.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in French and English; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with international teams.

Why Join?

  • Work with breakthrough life sciences technology shaping the future of genomics.
  • Be a key scientific partner to leading researchers and institutions.
  • Enjoy a high-impact, customer-facing role combining science, strategy, and relationship-building.
  • Join a collaborative, international environment driven by innovation and purpose.
  • Experience autonomy, variety, and meaningful contribution in a growing field.

If you are passionate about science, thrive in a dynamic environment, and enjoy empowering researchers to achieve success, we would love to hear from you. Apply today to find out more.
