Invenia Group has partnered with a leading provider of life science tools for discovery and translational research. We are now looking to hire a Regional Account Manager for the growing team.

Role responsibilities: 

If successful, you will be responsible for achieving or exceeding assigned budget goals by managing, protecting, and growing a customer base within the assigned geography. You will be responsible for business development, maintaining contacts with key customers from a top-down to a bottom-up perspective, and taking ownership and accountability around customer issues.

You will drive the overall team approach with all personnel resources and effectively manage accounts post-sale to ensure retention and growth, as well as the following:

  • Prospects for new instrument opportunities
  • Maintains a healthy funnel, while increasing install base utilization
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the company’s product features and benefits
  • Generate customer and market awareness for all products & solutions through effective management of resources
  • Assist customers in achieving defined business/ technical and personal goals
  • Prepare accurate overall territory business plans, forecasts, and sales reports to achieve assigned sales quota, and product mix objectives
  • Deliver all administrative reports in a timely manner, including expenses, monthly reports, forecasts, etc.

What we are looking for: 

We are looking for someone with a demonstrated sales ability to both grow our current customer base and expand into a new customer base focused primarily on instrument placements. You should have exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, excellent time management and project management skills, and an ability to effectively participate in cross-functional teams and to excel within a matrix organization.

You should also possess the following criteria:

  • Highly self-motivated with a desire to participate in the growth and success of the commercial team
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of related field sales experience, with a proven track record of success
  • An MS or BS in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field (laboratory experience preferred)
  • A strong understanding and familiarity with gene expression technologies including qPCR, microarray analysis, and next-generation sequencing
  • Ability to travel >50% of the time (territory dependent)
  • Ability to create and deliver highly effective presentations
  • Strong administration skills including CRM and process documentation
