Regional Sales Manager – DACH

An international and highly respected biotechnology organisation is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Regional Sales Manager to lead sales activities across the DACH region.
This is a strategic leadership opportunity for a sales professional with strong scientific expertise, proven people management experience, and a passion for supporting innovation within genomics and molecular biology.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will lead and develop a field-based commercial team while driving regional growth across academic, biotech, pharmaceutical, and clinical research accounts throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
You will play a key role in shaping commercial strategy, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding market presence across one of Europe’s most important life sciences territories.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, mentor, and develop a regional sales team to achieve ambitious revenue targets
• Define and execute the commercial strategy across the DACH region
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, KOLs, procurement teams, and distributors
• Drive adoption of advanced genomics and molecular biology solutions, including NGS, PCR/qPCR, single-cell analysis, and cell & gene therapy-related technologies
• Identify new business opportunities and support strategic account growth initiatives
• Conduct market analysis and competitor intelligence to support regional planning
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product management, technical support, and leadership teams
• Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM reporting
• Represent the business at scientific conferences, exhibitions, and customer meetings across the region
Candidate Profile
• MSc or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genomics, or related life sciences discipline
• 5+ years of experience in scientific sales, including leadership or regional management responsibility
• Strong track record of commercial success across complex territories
• Technical expertise within genomics, molecular biology, NGS, PCR/qPCR, or related technologies
• Existing network within the DACH life sciences market is highly advantageous
• Fluent German and English language skills required
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
• Willingness to travel regularly across the DACH region
