What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as a technical expert for complex bioinformatics and genomic analysis queries
- Troubleshoot pipeline issues and investigate data discrepancies
- Deliver specialized bioinformatics services (e.g., data analysis, model generation, validation support)
- Support data migrations and workflow optimization
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to improve tools and performance
- Create training materials and guide users on best practices
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in genomics and NGS technologies
What We’re Looking For
- MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics, Genomics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience working with genomic data and NGS pipelines
- Strong coding skills (Python, R, Bash, SQL)
- Experience with tools like GATK, BWA, Samtools (or similar)
- Familiarity with FASTQ, BAM, VCF formats
- Previous customer-facing or stakeholder-facing experience is a strong plus
- Strong communication skills and a solutions-oriented mindset
