Invenia is partnering with a fast-growing biotechnology company developing next-generation RNA and protein detection tools. The business has grown organically, is profitable, and already supports thousands of users worldwide. With expansion into BioPharma underway, the company is now building its first commercial team and hiring a Senior Sales Director to accelerate adoption of its new reagent-based technologies.

Senior Director of Sales — Role Overview

This is a senior commercial role for someone deeply networked in BioPharma and experienced in selling Spatial Biology products, Proteomics products, histology solutions, or life science reagents. You will operate with significant autonomy and play a central part in shaping how the company enters and scales within BioPharma.

Key elements of the role:

  • Serve as the senior individual contributor driving strategic growth
  • Help define and refine commercial processes alongside the CCO
  • Manage one Senior IC (Associate Director level)
  • Build and expand key BioPharma relationships across discovery, tox, assay development, pathology, and translational groups

It’s well suited to someone who prefers creating over inheriting and enjoys the pace and ownership that come with a start-up environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5–10 years of strong sales success selling Spatial Biology products, Proteomics products, histology solutions, or life science reagents
  • Established relationships within BioPharma discovery, assay development, tox, or pathology teams
  • Motivated to build & scale a commercial structure while staying close to the field

This is not a role for someone looking to step back from individual contributor work.

Location

Fully remote across the United States. Regular travel for customer meetings, conferences, and team collaboration is expected.
