A global leader in laboratory science and services is investing in site-based leadership and looking for someone to take full ownership of a major customer site in the Home Counties.

This is a brand new role with real scope to shape how the site runs. The operation spans several service lines, from instrument maintenance and asset management through to lab readiness and on-bench scientific support, with a team of around 130 people and five to six managers reporting in. You’d lead the whole operation and set the direction for how it all comes together.

If you enjoy leading a complex technical operation, bringing teams together and raising the bar on how things are done, this is built for you. You’d own service delivery, financial performance, quality and compliance, and the people. Above all, you’d be the senior, visible leader on site, trusted by the customer and the team alike.

What we’re looking for:

• 7+ years leading sizeable, multi-disciplinary technical teams, ideally in an operation that runs a bit like a small manufacturing site
• A credible, visible leader who earns the respect of experienced engineers and technicians
• Strong people leadership, with a track record of developing managers and building engaged, collaborative teams
• A natural drive for continuous improvement and operational excellence

You don’t need a pharma background. An understanding of regulated, quality-driven environments (pharma, medical devices, high-end electronics or similar) will help you settle in faster, but the right leader can learn the sector. We’ll back the athlete.
