Technical Project Manager

Invenia Group has exclusively partnered with a specialist company that invents, designs and develops new products and technologies. They specialize in different areas e.g. Omics, diagnostics, and cell and gene therapy, etc.

They are hiring multiple roles across the business units as part of an expansion plan. This position will be joining the company’s diagnostic team, who has a focus on developing instrumentation capable of running complex diagnostic workflows in a format that enables broad access to diagnostic testing.

This is a high-value growth market for the company, and they expect further growth in revenue and headcount within the next year.

Role responsibilities: 

The company is seeking a technical project leader that will partner with start-ups and world-leading diagnostics companies to bring new products to market. You will be working in close-knit teams of biologists, chemists, physicists, and engineers.

Our projects regularly begin in concept and prototype development, then scale into fully regulated product development, after this, the team will then work to support the transfer to volume production.

Projects include technologies in the research areas of immunoassays, molecular, diagnostic microbiology, tissue diagnostics, etc.

This position will manage a team of around 30 people.

The successful candidates will be expected to make a strong technical contribution to the diagnostic team, helping to secure and manage complex technical projects. You will be core to the ongoing success of our projects and will contribute insight and material in support of our business development activities.

What we are looking for: 

• Experience developing diagnostic systems and working under ISO13485
• Experience independently leading large, multi-disciplinary project teams
• A technical track record pertinent to diagnostic system development.
• Able to perform adapt and shape evolving project deliverables and summarise technical progress for clients

Essential experience:

• Stakeholder management within a project delivery framework, including Clients, Suppliers, Operators, Sub-contractors, and Finance
• Demonstrated capability to develop and communicate high-value project plans for new product development.
• Experience in preparing documentation suitable for inclusion in design history files for regulatory submission.
• Ideally, you will have a good understanding of technical sales and business development strategy within the diagnostics field.
