Invenia Group is partnered with one of the fastest growing specialty generic pharmaceutical companies headquartered in Asia, seeking a commercial professional with a strong technical background to take on the newly created role of Third-Party Product Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join great contender in global generics. The candidate can be based anywhere within the EU.

Role responsibilities:

If successful, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating prototypes of in house developed products based on technological requirements for manufacturing and packaging. You will lead the process of identification of the CMO’s / CPO’s for in house developed products that require the manufacturing / packaging to be done at third parties and perform due diligence of the selected CMO’s / CPO’s to ensure the desired technical capabilities, capacity, facilities, and systems to provide the services desired. You will also be responsible for the following: 

  • Ensure that the contracted organization is financially stable, has robust quality systems, and can manufacture a product that consistently meets specifications while meeting production / packaging schedules
  • Negotiate and finalize the technology transfer and the commercial terms with the CMO’s / CPO’s (in close cooperation / mentoring with the Third-Party Products Director)
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to finalize the Technical and Quality agreements
  • Actively participate (with R&D personnel) in the technology transfer process from R&D to the CMO / CPO
  • Participate in facility audits of the CMO’s / CPO’s if necessary
  • Additional CMO / CPO visits to investigate and remedy the issues if any
  • Ensure appropriate documentation / archival of the communication between the company and CMO’s / CPO’s

What we are looking for: 

We are looking for someone with a Postgraduate in sciences or a related field (preferably Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Technology degree) as well as a pharma professional with at least 10+ years of relevant experience in a similar role in the pharmaceutical industry (preferably 5+ years of experience in operations / technology transfer related to small molecules in solid oral dosage forms). You should also possess the following skills: 

  • Perform appropriate due diligence of the selected CMO’s / CPO’s to ensure the desired technical capabilities, capacity, facilities, and systems to provide the services desired
  • Experience of working for a multi-national matrix organization, directly supporting a global function
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize
  • Strong communications skills (in writing and verbally) as well as ability to influence
