VP Preclinical Development

Invenia Group is partnered with a growing gene therapy start-up with a focus on non-viral gene therapies. They are seeking an experienced and driven professional to take on the role of Vice President, Preclinical Development.

Role responsibilities:

This individual will work with the founders and the R&D lab, running the development laboratory and working to move their pipeline through IND filings.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with:

• Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology, or related field, with extensive industry experience (not a purely academic background)
• Expertise in the gene therapy space
• Experience in working with DNA, nucleic acids, and/or lipid nanoparticles
• Experience moving pipeline from Discovery through IND to Phase 1/Phase 2 clinical trials
• Strong communication skills (customer, investors, cross-functional teams
