Invenia Group has partnered with a fast-growing company looking to hire a Business Development Executive for its growing team.

Role responsibilities: 

To identify, secure and deliver new business opportunities to enhance the company’s product portfolio. Also, to support the long-term business strategy and ensure profitable growth.

Key responsibilities:

If successful, you will be responsible for identifying, securing, and delivering new business opportunities to enhance the company’s product portfolio. Also, to support the long-term business strategy and ensure profitable growth, the following:

  • Identification, based on thorough market analysis, of medicinal products for inclusion in the company’s portfolio (presents evidence-based product possibilities, product portfolio aligns with the company’s objectives and strategy, suppliers meet the company’s sourcing and quality criteria).
  • Creation of new supplier relationships (networks well, and opens doors to new opportunities, communicate well at all levels, generates the desire to progress and develop relationships, represents the company’s interest in a creditable and professional manner
  • Maintains connection with new projects to ensure products are delivered to market (works cross-functionally with internal colleagues and third parties to maintain clarity and momentum in running projects, influences internal and external networks, communicates ably)
  • Comply with relevant legal and compliance requirements, regulatory and ethical standards, and Company SOPs (achievement of compliance and quality requirements including internal and external audits, compliant with all internal and external codes and processes, such as SOPs).

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with a Degree or equivalent business experience and a background in the pharmaceutical industry with a good network, as well as the following:

  • Strong ‘selling’ abilities
  • Commercial awareness for initial assessment of opportunities, in order to deliver long-term profitability to the company
  • Ability to identify differentiated and niche opportunities
  • Good basic financial skills when assessing market opportunities, technologies, products, and alliances
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Ability to identify, negotiate and close new business opportunities
  • Ability to negotiate commercial contracts to completion
  • Ability to oversee and deliver time-driven projects to completion
