Invenia Group is working with a rapidly expanding specialist manufacturer of scientific instrumentation to hire three director level Medical Science Liaisons across the US (Scientific Affairs – Drug Development – West Coast). The company manufactures specialist proteomic instrumentation, kits and services used across a wide range of Biomarker / Immunological applications. Their customers include pharma, biopharma, biotech, academia and CROs.

The Role:

  • This position is responsible for collaborating with the commercial team to identify revenue-producing opportunities within the company’s existing customer base.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of the drug discovery process and knowledge of working with biomarkers, as you will be responsible for working directly with KOLs and decision-makers to identify their unmet needs and suggest solutions to fulfil these.

Responsibilities

  • Have regular meetings with existing customers, who tend to be large pharmaceutical businesses and some CROs.
  • Work with the field sales and support teams to strategically help identify customer needs and how their needs can be met with the company’s products.
  • Work with the service side of the sales team on a strategy for how they can expand this side of the business.
  • Build relationships with KOLs and leaders in the pharma and biotech industry, focusing on personalized medicine, drug discovery/development research
  • Act as a product evangelist and promote the company’s technology promote the benefits of the technology. This may be at conferences, through webinars and seminars, customer presentations etc.
  • Help generate content to promote the company’s technology e.g. web content, blogs, news articles etc.
  • Stay updated on scientific and market developments
  • Carry out any additional responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

  • Ideally, a PhD educated in an immunology-related subject with an extensive understanding of biomarkers and biomolecule detection.
  • Must have extensive experience working in the pharma industry and have extensive knowledge about the drug development process within different research areas.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be business-minded and able to build strong relationships with KOLs and thought leaders
