Invenia Group is partnered with a Drug Substance CMO in New Jersey, searching for an OPEX Director to help drive OPEX improvements at the site level, in line with their overall global OPEX goals.
Role and responsibilities:
If successful, you will be responsible for the following:
- Identify, prioritize, support, and deliver OPEX improvements within timescales and within budget.
- Training of white, yellow, and green belts to continuously use their lean and six sigma skills to aid OPEX initiatives.
- Define and implement a system to quantify and report savings and benefits of OPEX projects.
- Maintenance of a Short Interval Control System.
- Implement and lead a data-driven culture that helps to understand the root cause of potential site issues.
- Direct management of the process engineering group.
- Close interaction with support planning, implementation, and compliance with regulatory requirements related to cGMP, SHE, and regulatory authorities.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone with a University degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred, other related fields also considered.
- Drug substance manufacturing or chemical synthesis experience is essential.
- Extensive experience in a similar role within a GMP environment.
- Lean six sigma Black Belt certified ideal, green belt can also be considered.
- Extensive history of proven improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of financial principles associated with running a manufacturing site and associated OPEX improvements.
