Invenia Group has partnered with a world-leading supplier of Materials Testing Equipment, following a strong 2022 they are looking to increase the headcount of their field service team by 6 across key locations in the US. The company is seeking experienced field service engineers who are self-starters and team players with experience in materials testing, metrology, optical inspection, or similar technology. Experience in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulics, and PLC (ideally Allan Bradley/Siemens) is greatly preferred.

The company has a reputation for reliable technology with only 10% unplanned maintenance while supporting over 20 application areas. All successful engineers will receive full manufacturer training for 2 weeks at the Georgia site and will be shadowed by an experienced engineer until they are up to speed.

Progression opportunities are available and people with a passion for training, sales, or other areas will have a good opportunity to progress once they’ve proved themselves.

Role responsibilities: 

This role is responsible for providing support to the company’s customers in Northern California. The role will be a mixture of installations, maintenance, and calibrations of the machines at the customer site. The company does not have an on-call rota and the majority of the work will be planned.

This is a regional role and there will be minimal overnights very occasionally.

What we are looking for: 

  • 3-5 years of Field base experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in servicing materials testing machines and instruments
  • Working experience in measurement and analytical instruments or materials testing would be advantageous
  • A diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred but hands-on skills will also be highly valued
