Invenia Group has partnered with an international services provider of pharmaceuticals based in Hamburg with a global network of branch offices and holdings in over 30 countries. The company is now seeking a motivated Master Data Manager, eager for a new challenge to join the team in Hamburg. 

Role responsibilities: 

If successful, you will act as a global point of contact covering master data management and data quality within ERP systems for the Pharma business unit. You will be responsible for the whole master data maintenance process – ensuring the quality of the data across the ERP system and ongoing monitoring of its accuracy, completeness, and time-efficiency, processing of the new material requests for the product portfolio. You will also be responsible for the following: 

  • Understanding the commercial relevance of existing and new data requirements – is required to ensure accurate implementation in all pharma-relevant systems (SAP S4/HANA, MDM, Salesforce, eQMS, LIMS)
  • On-going optimisation of the master data concept through the implementation of standards and rules
  • Act as an interface and work cross-functionally with units such as Supply Chain, IT Business Applications, SAP, and Controlling – on a global level
  • Support the SAP team, for the pharma business unit in launching projects at international offices

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with technical/commercial vocational training – in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as 3-4 years of experience within Master Data Management – quality assurance and methodological knowledge data stewardship/governance. You should also possess the following:

  • Strong interest in IT and digitalisation and enthusiasm for new technologies and process efficiency
  • Familiarity working with SAP or other ERP systems
  • Strong communication skills with a professional level of English – the enjoyment of working in an international team based globally
  • The structured and organised working manner

As this is a relatively new role at the company, this is a great opportunity for an established professional to transition the company out of the old ERP system into SAP. Enthusiasm and eagerness to improve as well as a flexible approach are very welcome.
