Invenia Group is partnering with a leading biotechnology company at the forefront of developing cutting-edge innovative tools and services that accelerate scientific discovery. We are looking for a Senior Bioinformatics Staff Engineer to join the growing team based in San Jose.
Role responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure and solutions to support bioinformatics workflows.
- Develops and deploys software products using state-of-the-art technologies and execution environments, such as choosing the tech stack, cloud-computing services, and establishing CI/CD.
- Owns and delivers one or more projects through all stages of the product development process.
What we are looking for:
- Programming languages (e.g., R, Python, Java)
- M.S. degree and a minimum of 6 years related experience (software, electrical, bioengineering, mechanical or chemical engineering, physics, chemistry, or similar)
- Database management system (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL),
- CI/CD frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI), or
- Computational workflow management systems (e.g., NextFlow, Snakemake)
