Invenia Group is working with a rapidly expanding specialist manufacturer of scientific instrumentation to hire a Senior Project Proposal Manager.

The company manufactures specialist immunoassay products used in drug discovery and immunology research. They have a great reputation in the market for the quality performance of their products and are constantly seeking to advance their technology platforms.

Role responsibilities: 

This position is responsible for working directly with clients to define custom assay development projects and contracts. This role will be responsible for all aspects of customer coordination and

communication, and will utilize knowledge of immunoassays to generate proposals and quotes for custom assay development projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform pre-contract and pre-sales activities, including:
  • Communicate Assay Services information, pricing, and order information to prospective customers.
  • Coordinate with the strategic sales team on new opportunities.
  • Conduct project definition meetings with customers.
  • Lead discussion and negotiation with clients related to project proposals or statements of works and project budgets.
  • Finalize with the customer the project’s objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Provide project cost estimates for client budgeting purposes.
  • Write statements of work (SOW) and proposals for assay and consumables development projects.
  • Provide support for custom kit manufacturing and sample testing services quotes.
  • Define timelines, resource requirements, and budgets for projects; research material sources and costs (antibodies and proteins) as required.
  • Utilise knowledge of immunoassays and the company’s technologies to draft project proposals/statements of work for method development and method validation projects to support client clinical studies.
  • Ensure customer inquiries and order status updates are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Utilize understanding of the therapeutic drug development, clinical trial design, and/or
  • process to provide solutions to client needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams such as custom manufacturing, customer service, finance, and legal to obtain financial analyses and initiate agreements.
  • Ensure appropriate profitability targets for each project.
  • Coordinate and escalate communication with all appropriate areas of the company to mitigate
  • the impact of changes to project scope, budget, resources, and risk.

What we are looking for:

  • Ideally, have a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Immunology or a related subject.
  • Must have extensive hands-on experience with immunoassays (e.g. ELISA or Multiplexing) and assay development.
  • Must have customer-facing experience this can be from roles such as Project Management or Field Application Specialists etc.

This is a remote role with a preference for the East or West Coast.
