Role responsibilities:

If successful, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Generating different types of NGS libraries for sequencing of RNA and DNA
  • New product development of new life science tools and products
  • Developing custom products that could be used in the CLIA setting
  • Reporting and documenting results and progress to colleagues and clients
  • Implementing and leading troubleshooting
  • Technical leadership in various NGS laboratory operations and strategy development

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for someone with a Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field, as well as 5+ years of experience in a laboratory setting (preferably in the biotechnology industry). You should have 3+ years of experience in NGS and library prep, familiarity with NGS commercial technologies and platforms, software tools, bioinformatics pipelines, and interpretation of data and experience with a variety of techniques including nucleic acid extraction, (amplification, and detection is preferred). 

You should be able to work collaboratively, able to mentor others in a highly matrixed environment, be goal-oriented and focused on completing work on time, with an ability to adapt to changing priorities and technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
