Invenia Group is working with a rapidly expanding specialist manufacturer of scientific instrumentation to hire a Technical Sales Specialist in Maryland. The company manufactures specialist Immunoassay instrumentation and reagents used in Drug Discovery and Immunology research. They have a great reputation in the market for the quality performance of their products and are constantly seeking to advance their technology platforms.

This is an exciting time to join as you will be supporting them through the next phase of growth and commercialization of their technology and products. This is one of 6 rolls across the US that have been created due to growth and the creation of a new function.

Role Responsibilities:

This is a newly created position and function in the company that will sit in between the Field Support team and the Business Development team. This role will work closely with the Existing Sales teams to identify new customers as well as grow existing accounts by finding new applications and to maximize utilization of the company’s consumables in their research. This role will be responsible for helping the team achieve its collective revenue targets. This is a highly technical role and consultative role. The responsibilities include:

  • Research and create customer-focused campaigns based on different application areas.
  • Utilise different marketing tools to identify new business opportunities.
  • Guide ongoing projects on which products would be best utilised to meet customer needs
  • Collaborate on the development and creation of new application-based resource materials (presentations etc.)
  • Record and manage customer interactions in CRM.

What we are looking for:

For this, we are looking for someone with a Master’s / PhD in a biology-related subject. You must also possess the following:

  • Extensive experience with immunoassay techniques ideally ELISA or Multiplexing
  • Experience working in a customer facing role is preferred
  • Must be interested in moving into a sales role and be willing to travel in the assigned territory.

We are offering a base of up to $125k (depending on experience) plus a bonus of up to $60k, matched 401k, car allowance, full healthcare, etc.
