Vice President of Finance

Invenia Group is partnered with a privately held biotechnology company dedicated to advancing the field of genetic medicine. Their team is a dynamic and closely-knit community driven by a shared mission.

They are seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead the financial operations of their rapidly growing company. This role involves overseeing accounting activities, collecting and analyzing financial data, and preparing financial reports. The Vice President of Finance will manage a team of three direct reports and collaborate closely with the Executive Team and Leadership Team to ensure the operations are aligned with the ambitious targets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Lead, manage, and expand the corporate and strategic finance functions, including team management, system implementation, and process enhancement, to support the growth trajectory.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Collaborate closely with the CEO to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, risk management, and internal reporting to the leadership team and the Board of Directors.

Accounting Oversight and Financial Tracking

• Supervise all facets of accounting operations, encompassing payables, receivables, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Develop robust tracking methods for revenue and expenses to support informed decision-making.

Internal Controls and Policies

• Upgrade and implement a comprehensive system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures to ensure compliance and financial integrity.

Investment Management

• Oversee the development, supervision, and management of the organization’s investment strategy.
• Offer support for fundraising or other financial transactions as required.
