Invenia Group is partnered with a global healthcare company focused on high-value medicines and healthcare solutions covering various therapeutic areas. This internationally recognised innovative organisation is seeking a Licensing Manager for the European region to join their rapidly expanding business. The Licensing Manager will identify sales leads, spot new opportunities, and develop and diversify the business by establishing rapid growth strategies and plans within the EU.

Role responsibilities: 

The Licensing Manager will have an in-depth knowledge of business development products and value propositions through identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs, researching business opportunities and viable income streams, and following industry trends. Additionally, support management by providing analysis for evaluating new business opportunities such as out-licensing and portfolio management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Retaining and increasing the relationships with existing clients
  • Build a network of senior-level contacts across target organisations
  • Pro-actively hunts for target organisations and establishes communications with those businesses
  • Responsibility for alliance relationship management post-partnering deal
  • Scouting/generating leads for new assets/molecules/compounds in line with the Therapeutic Area Focus of the Company as well as the Country Focus, through various sources
  • Set a budget plan for the EU business in coordination with the stakeholders (finance, product development, etc..)
  • Achieve the profitability and sales plans per product
  • Determines new opportunities by analysing business needs
  • Forecasts long and short-range market potential
  • Search for and establish business collaboration/ new business ventures with different partners across the continent
  • Set business growth plans & needs in the EU Market on a yearly basis
  • Keeps up to date with new & changing market trends, intellectual property laws, and regulatory legislation
  • Implement company strategies for business and products that take into consideration business expansion, opportunities, and threats
  • Performing portfolio analysis when needed
  • Constant communication, continuous improvements, and workforce engagement to sustain growth and keep the company ahead of the competitive curve

What we are looking for: 

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical science and a Master’s in business administration/marketing or equivalent in business development or finance. You should also possess the following:

  • Strong background and successful track record in the EU pharma business development sector
  • Proven experience in successful launches in the EU market, with a rich network & connections in Europe
  • High-level analytical capabilities
  • Exceptional cross-cultural communication skills
